- The move went well. Cleanup of the old place is this weekend. I screwed up and forgot to call Goodwill to arrange pickup of the furniture we're donating; I hope we can get them out there today.

- The new apartment is fine. I thought it was huge before I started putting stuff in it, just because I had such a tiny bedroom at the old place. But put a new queen-sized platform bed and Nekhen Imyuti Ra her Gereh in there, and it's pretty full. If it was wider but shorter with the same area, it'd probably feel a little roomier.

- Living room is still pretty random. The old futon, now my sofa, is sitting diagonally in the middle of it. Boxes, and white plastic shelves I set up but haven't loaded yet, are along the walls.

- St. Charles is very, very white with a little bit of Asian presence... not something I really thought about a lot. St. Ann is more diverse; there are stores at the mall that are specifically targetting African and Latino culture, and you can get saint candles and folk magic stuff at the grocery store. Wouldn't surprise me if there's an actual botanica around here. :)

- I'm sure I already mentioned, I'm in love. :)
